Creating a New Web Page
  1. To start Kompozer, from the Start menu, select Kompozer.

  2. Kompozer will launch with a new, blank web page in the window. You can now start typing.

Tip for New Users

  • If you want to create a blank page at any point while you're using Kompozer, just select File > New from the menu bar.
  • When you save a file you give it a filename, such as mypage.htm. Different kinds of computers use different rules for naming files, but there are a few general rules to follow when naming a web page file:
    • Stick to letters and numbers. Don't use any special characters like # or %.
    • Instead of spaces, use hyphens (-) or underscores (_).
    • Use .htm as the file extension (the last part of a filename).
